[转]RHEL下升级Firefox

网上找到的贴子,记下来参考。
1.备份原Firefox , mv  /usr/lib/firefox-3.0.12 firefox-3.0.12.backup

2.官方http://www.mozillaonline.com/下载FireFox最新版本;

3.解压得到文件夹firefox;

4.将解压的文件夹firefox 复制到 /usr/lib下

5.先关闭已打开的firefox浏览器,执行以下命令升级:

#cd  /usr/lib/firefox

#./firefox

6.使用vi编辑器打开/usr/bin/firefox文件,将文件中所有firefox3.0.12字段修改为firefox

如果不做修改会导致应用程序菜单里的快捷方式失效。

7.升级完成

注意:升级会导致FireFox浏览器保存的收藏夹、登录等信息丢失。
